Ipsy Glam bag May 2014 Review - Fresh Picks

Another happy month with Ipsy! The Fresh Picks May 2014 Glam bag from Ipsy didn't disappoint. I was reading a few other reviews and it seems some weren't happy with the selection of items. I've got to say I'm not one of them.

This month's glam bag introduced me to a new perfume scent I really enjoy, a great anti-aging sunscreen and a really exciting hair mask.

I know I'm always gushing over how much I love this bag, but it's genuine. I love the anticipation of waiting to see what will be coming, the email saying that my ipsy glam bag is on the way and opening up my bag to see what goodies I've received. It's a present I buy for myself every month. Now that I've officially cancelled Birchbox, I also have found that I don't even need another beauty box to feel like I've got enough to try. The sample sizes are usually deluxe and I love trying new things.

Here's what we was in my bag:

Therapy Session Hair Mask

Mineral Eyeshadow Duo

Thermal Spring Water

Calvin Klein

endless euphoria

Jersey Shore Sun®

Sans Tan Anti-aging Sunscreen

The Moxie lipstick by Bare Minerals was my bonus. If you get friends to join IPSY you too can snag some really great goodies at the end of the month with the points you earn. You also earn points for reviewing and sharing so get on it!

Truekare Breast Forms Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Truekare Breast Forms are a great way to enhance your busts! Bust must plus! The forms themselves require no adhesive and fit comfortably into your bra. I opted for the medium sized which have a nipple, it's slight an really great. Say you're trying to hide a nipple piercing in a dress...boom these have you covered!

They stay really comfortable and don't cause too much sweating. They also have a fairly real fit and feel.  I liked that the forms have a nice concave for a comfortable fit. I mean you're getting what you think you're getting. In my case they offered a nice push up and really enhanced my cleavage.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

It's that time of year again, bikini season!

It's a time of year that many women dread, mostly because the media says you should be skinny and you're probably not. Well I am of the opinion that the easiest way to having a bikini body is to put on a fucking bikini.

We're not perfect, not one of us. The models you see in magazines they don't look like that, not really. They have cellulite, they dehydrate themselves for photo shoots and now with photoshop they are even more processed. It's simply not realistic to look at those magazines and strive for that as a standard of what's beautiful.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not skinny, but I'm not hating on skinny gals. I know you struggle too, those beauty standards aren't true for you either! Sure you can get the boob job and have size gigantic tits, but really who gives a fuck? Embrace who you are, eat, drink and be merry!

We're all different, we're all beautiful and if you're healthy, you should be happy. If you're not, then get to work bitch! By all health standards I am obese. I'm usually between a 32-34 BMI. Mostly because those things don't factor in the amount of muscle I have on my body. Spending years as a a muscle jerk means I'm more muscular than most and because of my muscle mass my ideal weight might be somewhere around 160-170 lbs. I could aim for 150 but it would be tough to maintain. Am I over the ideal weight I would like to be at? FUCK YES! I'm 200lbs and I would love to drop 30-40 lbs, but am I going to starve myself to do it? No. Am I going to shrivel and hide in the corner pretending that I don't matter because I'm not 'ideal'? Fuck no! I'm going to try to make better choices and I'm going to wear a bikini to the fucking beach.

I put one on today, I own several. I look beautiful, even in last night's make-up, unshowered and untouched. I hope you realize that swimsuits aren't your enemy, and you're beautiful.

Now all I need is a tan.

Here's why I haven't been posting much.

Hello darlings! I know I've been posting less these days and there's a reason for it! I started a new job in March and it's been a whirlwind of busy since then. I plan to create a blog schedule so that I'm posting here regularly too, because I miss it. I also want to miss the 20 lbs I've gained but that's a post for another time!

I'm now the Director of Marketing for Premier Dentistry of Philadelphia, a dental office located in Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia. It's been fun getting back into marketing, but now I'm also designing fantastic ads and working some PR angles. I'm pretty into it.

If you were hoping to stalk me, go an appointment. If you miss my writing you can catch up on some great information on the Premier Dentistry blog I currently write.

Ipsy Glam Bag April 2014

I keep telling you about IPSY and how great this Glam Bag is, and I'm wondering if many of you are listening!

Here's my April Ipsy Glam bag - note that I forgot to put the beautiful Urban Decay eyeliner I got in the picture so I took a separate one of that. It's a fairly large travel size and it's a great product.

Alright let's go through what I've got here.

Urban Decay
24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil Travel Size -
A great eyeliner. Glides on and doesn't smudge. I've had drunk nights out wearing this and the liner lasts the evening through. Really impressive product.
City Color
White Gold Shadow & Highlight Mousse -
A tip from a friend who I also hooked on Ipsy: Use it as a primer! It really works great as a primer and I love the color. The light highlight does wonders for the inner corner of the eye as well.

Jasmine Perfume Oil Roll On - When I pulled this out at work on Thursday my co-worker grabbed it and rubbed it on her wrists. She loved it probably more than I do. The light scent of jasmine is beautiful and makes me feel quite pretty without making me feel too perfumed.

dr. brandt®
microdermabrasion - I haven't tried this out yet, but it's on the agenda for the day. Look for an update!

Mary Kay At Play™
Jelly Lip Gloss - I was surprised to see Mary Kay in the bag...I'm not a huge fan of most Mary Kay products and I don't 'love' this one. It's a lip gloss it's got a fun bit of color and I like it. I think I'll stick with my Charice's cosmetics lippy though.

I also got as a bonus for getting friends to join this TokyoMilk Marque Deposee. It's really great! I mean really really great. It's also full size so boom!

There you have it, another month of IPSY and I'm still happy. Join today to get yours for only $10 a month.
